At Tokyo's Meiji Shrine, it's not unusual for visitors to catch a glimpse of a traditional wedding, the couple led in procession by Shinto priests under a large red umbrella. The Shinto shrine is dedicated to the souls of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shoken.
