Joya De Cerén

Joya de Cerén, a UNESCO World Heritage site in El Salvador, is a pre-Columbian Mayan village preserved under volcanic ash from a 7th-century eruption. Dubbed the "Pompeii of the Americas," its unearthed homes, tools, and crops reveal daily life from 1,400 years ago. This site offers a unique snapshot of ancient Mesoamerican culture.
