zhongshan park
Zhongshan Park, located in the heart of Beijing, is a serene oasis steeped in history. Originally an imperial altar known as the Altar of Earth and Harvests, it was built in 1421 by the Yongle Emperor. Today, it's a public park where visitors can explore various halls, pavilions, and the famous greenhouse with 39 varieties of tulips. This park not only offers a glimpse into China's rich past but also serves as a tribute to Sun Yat-Sen, a pivotal figure in the country's transition to a republic.
