Yokohama, situated south of Tokyo, is a Japanese city that became one of the first ports open to foreign trade in 1859. It boasts a vast Chinatown filled with numerous Chinese restaurants and shops. The city is also famed for the Sankei-en Garden, a botanical park showcasing preserved Japanese residences from various periods, and the coastal Minato Mirai district, home to the towering 296-meter Landmark Tower.
