The War Gallery of 1812 is a gallery of the Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg, Russia, to commemorate Russia's victory over Napoleonic France. Its walls carry 332 portraits of generals who fought in the war of 1812 and the foreign campaign of 1813-14. The portraits were painted by George Dawe and his Russian assistants.
