stadhuis antwerpen
The Stadhuis, or City Hall, of Antwerp is a magnificent Renaissance building that has stood on the western side of the city's Grote Markt since the mid-16th century. Designed by Cornelis Floris de Vriendt and other architects, it reflects both Flemish and Italian influences. Not only is it an architectural gem, but it also holds historical significance as one of the Belfries of Belgium and France, which are recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This grand edifice has witnessed the city's evolution from a bustling trading port to a modern cultural hub.
