Sonohyan-utaki is a revered site within the indigenous Ryukyuan religion, located in Naha, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. This sacred grove is situated near the Shureimon gate of Shuri Castle, a place deeply rooted in the spiritual heritage of the region. The stone gate of Sonohyan-utaki, built in 1519, has been recognized as an Important Cultural Property and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Gusuku Sites and Related Properties of the Kingdom of Ryukyu.
