Shiretoko National Park (知床国立公園, Shiretoko Kokuritsu Kōen), situated on the Shiretoko Peninsula in eastern Hokkaido, stands as one of Japan's most pristine and scenic national parks. Roads extend only to about three-quarters of the way up the peninsula, with the northernmost point accessible solely by boat or through multi-day hiking expeditions.
