qufu

Qufu, a city steeped in history, is renowned as the birthplace of Confucius and was indeed the capital of the Lu State in ancient China. Flourishing from the 6th to the 4th century BCE, Lu played a pivotal role during the Spring and Autumn period of Chinese history. Today, Qufu's rich cultural heritage is encapsulated in its well-preserved temples, the Kong Family Mansion, and the Cemetery of Confucius, which collectively have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
