porcelain tower

The Porcelain Tower of Nanjing, also known as the Liuli Pagoda, is a historical site located in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. Originally constructed during the Ming dynasty in the 15th century, it was renowned for its glazed porcelain bricks and stood as a testament to the architectural prowess of the era. Although it was largely destroyed during the Taiping Rebellion in the 19th century, a modern replica has been built, funded by a significant donation from a Chinese businessman, which now allows visitors to appreciate this marvel once again.
