phra mondop
The Phra Mondop is a significant structure within the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, part of the Grand Palace complex in Bangkok, Thailand. It was constructed to house the revised edition of the Buddhist Canon and is a fine example of traditional Thai architecture, featuring a multi-tiered roof and intricate carvings. Although the Phra Mondop is not open to the public, its exterior adorned with green mirrored tiles and gold medallions depicting Buddha, as well as the guardian angels lining the base of the walls, make it a remarkable sight for visitors.
