osaka castle
Osaka Castle, known in Japanese as Ōsaka-jō, stands as a historic monument in Chūō-ku, Osaka, Japan. Constructed in 1583 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, it played a pivotal role in the unification of Japan during the Azuchi-Momoyama period. The castle's architecture features a unique design with a five-story exterior and an eight-story interior, set upon two raised platforms supported by walls of cut rock, a technique known as burdock piling.
