okayama castle
Okayama Castle, known as "Crow Castle" due to its distinctive black exterior, is a historic Japanese castle located in Okayama Prefecture. This castle, which contrasts sharply with the white "Egret Castle" of neighboring Himeji, was originally completed in 1597 but was destroyed during World War II. It was later reconstructed in 1966, and today, visitors can explore the castle's museum, which showcases its rich history and the Edo Period lifestyle. The castle is also notable for its surrounding garden, Koraku-en, considered one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan.
