new chambers

The New Chambers, nestled within the stunning Sanssouci Park in Potsdam, Germany, is a remarkable example of the Frederician Rococo style. Constructed between 1771 and 1775 for King Frederick the Great of Prussia, this elegant building originally served as an orangery and was later transformed into a guesthouse. Its interior is adorned with lavish decorations, including the Jasper Room with its red jasper and grey Silesian marble, and the Ovid Gallery, which features a style reminiscent of French mirrored rooms.
