The Jongmyo Shrine in Seoul, South Korea, is a significant cultural and historical site. Originally built in 1394 during the Joseon Dynasty, it serves as a Confucian royal ancestral shrine. The shrine is notable for housing the spirit tablets of deceased kings and queens and is the oldest preserved royal Confucian shrine.
