Jade Emperor Peak is the summit of Mount Tai, a mountain of great historical and cultural significance located north of Tai'an in Shandong Province, China. Rising 1,545 meters above sea level, it is the highest point in Shandong and is often associated with sunrise, birth, and renewal. Revered as the foremost of the Five Sacred Mountains of China, Mount Tai has been a place of worship for at least 3,000 years and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
