india gate

India Gate, an iconic war memorial in New Delhi, stands along the Kartavya Path, formerly known as Rajpath. It commemorates the 84,000 soldiers of the British Indian Army who perished in World War I and the Third Anglo-Afghan War. The structure, designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, is often compared to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and the Gateway of India in Mumbai. Recently, it has also become home to the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, symbolizing India's journey from a colonial past to a future of self-determined progress.
