humayun’s tomb
Humayun's Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993, stands as a magnificent testament to the grandeur of the Mughal Empire. Commissioned by Empress Bega Begum in 1558 and designed by the Persian architects Mirak Mirza Ghiyas and his son, it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. This architectural marvel not only commemorates Emperor Humayun but also houses the graves of other notable Mughal family members, marking it as a significant monument in the history of Indian architecture.
