geissenklösterle
Geissenklösterle, a key archaeological site for the central European Upper Paleolithic, offers a unique glimpse into early human history. Discovered in 1963, this cave in the Swabian Jura has revealed some of the oldest known artifacts of prehistoric art and music, dating back to between 43,000 and 30,000 years ago. Among the significant finds are the oldest known musical instruments and a variety of animal figurines, highlighting the cultural richness of our ancestors. The site's importance is underscored by its inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Caves and Ice Age Art in the Swabian Jura since 2017.
