Fukushima is the capital city of Fukushima Prefecture, located in the northern part of Nakadōri, the central region of the prefecture. With a rich history that dates back to ancient Japan. It is known for its beautiful onsen (hot springs) on the outskirts, such as Iizaka Onsen, and for the Fukushima Race Course, the only horse racing track in the Tōhoku region.
