Dubrovnik, a city on the coast of the Adriatic Sea in Croatia, lies at the terminal end of the Isthmus of Dubrovnik. Renowned as a significant tourist destination in the Adriatic, it serves as a seaport and the center of Dubrovnik-Neretva County. The population of Dubrovnik was recorded at 42,641 in 2011. The city became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.
