Danjo-garan is a significant and revered temple complex located in the sacred Mount Kōya of Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. This spiritual heart of Kōya-san serves as the center for the practice and dissemination of Shingon Buddhism, established in the 9th century by Kobo Daishi, also known as Kukai.
