Chūgū-ji, a temple situated in Nara Prefecture, Japan, was established as a nunnery in the seventh century by Shōtoku Taishi. Nestled just northeast of Hōryū-ji, it is renowned for its statue of Miroku and the Tenjukoku mandala, both of which are designated National Treasures.
