brescia romana

The Capitolium of Brixia, also known as the Temple of the Capitoline Triad, was a significant religious site in the ancient Roman town of Brixia, now modern-day Brescia in Northern Italy. Dedicated to the Roman gods Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva, the temple was constructed in 73 AD during Emperor Vespasian's reign. Today, although only fragmentary ruins remain, the site is part of a larger archaeological area that includes a Roman amphitheatre and museum, and it has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011. This historical treasure offers a glimpse into the religious and cultural life of ancient Rome and continues to be a point of interest for both scholars and tourists alike.
