bahá'í gardens
The Bahá'í Terraces, known as the Hanging Gardens of Haifa, are a stunning example of architectural and landscape design. Situated on Mount Carmel in Haifa, Israel, these terraces were completed in 2001 and feature 19 levels with over 1,500 steps ascending the mountain. They are not only a popular tourist destination but also a spiritual center for the Bahá'í Faith, symbolizing the first eighteen disciples of the Báb. The gardens combine elements of Persian, Indian, and English landscaping, creating a tranquil oasis that offers panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea.
