The Adalaj Stepwell, a marvel of Indo-Islamic architecture and engineering, is located in the town of Adalaj, close to Gandhinagar in Gujarat. Constructed in 1498, this five-story deep well was built in the memory of Rana Veer Singh by his wife, Queen Rudabai. It served as a cultural and utilitarian space, providing water for drinking, washing, and bathing, especially during the arid times of the year.
